A Performance At Canopy Gallery

Efrath Bouana, a graceful artist and a wonderful and talented painter who works between Israel and France, also my dear cousin, opened a gallery in Netanya and invited me to dance at the opening exhibition. I invited two dancers, Ido Greenberg and Alma Livneh, to a performance art event, inspired by the performance workshop “Real Time” under the late Uri Katzenstein, at the art department of the University of Haifa. On the street near the gallery we poured two large bags of earth. A movement and verbal conversation was created with the audience; it was fascinating that the audience and the people who walked down the street became part of the event. It was an uplifting and challenging experience. I had the privilege of dancing this performance along with the dancers, Efrath’s paintings and the cats in the street.

Thank you Efrath for inviting me to this stimulating and exciting one-time experience.
